our mission is simple
Love God, Unite People
WE WANT TO HELP YOU BEGIN OR STRENGTHEN YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH JESUS CHRIST, BEGINNING WITH OUR SUNDAY SERVICES.
WE WANT TO WALK OUT OUR FAITH AND BUILD GENUINE RELATIONSHIPS WITH OTHER PEOPLE.
WE WORK TOGETHER TO SERVE AND UNITE A DIVERSE COMMUNITY WITH OUR UNIQUE GIFTINGS.
WHAT TO EXPECT
We have an amazing hospitality team that will greet you when you come in! If you have kids, you'll be directed to our secure U Kids check in and will take your kids to their classrooms where they will be sure to have a great time. During our service, you will experience amazing worship and hear a life giving message.
The main purpose of United Church is to share the hope of Jesus. Jesus is our message. We want people to have a real and authentic relationship with Christ.
Our passion is people. All people are loved by Jesus. No matter who you are, what you've been through, or what you believe, you belong here. We believe people will find freedom and purpose as they walk out their faith with other people. We understand the importance of community and facilitate that with U Groups.
We believe in radical generosity. We see generosity as a privilege and we strive to be generous with our time, talents, and treasure. We will prayerfully look for ways to be generous in RVA, specifically in the Forest Hill Corridor.
Our goal is to make all of our experiences with you excellent. This includes our Sunday services, our kids ministry, and all other ministries we provide. We will give our all to make our time with you engaging, fun, safe, and edifying.
We believe the greatest leadership is service to others and that's what we plan to do for our city. Jesus showed us that every leader is a servant first. From Sunday mornings to events in our community, we want everyone to serve. We believe one of our biggest callings is to partner with Richmond City Public Schools and serve them in whatever ways we can.
We are vocal with our honor, meaning we are not stingy with our words. We submit to leadership and are thankful for spiritual authority. We choose joyfully to submit to those God has placed over us. We honor and care for those God has placed under us.
